 Elisabeth Frater  is a partner at the firm of Gravett & Frater, LLP.  With twenty years of legal experience she has tried over 100 jury trials, and represented numerous clients from the inception of the case through mediation or settlement. She is passionate about representing her clients who are often facing difficult circumstances.

A native of Los Angeles, she graduated from Pitzer College, The Claremont Colleges and attended the American University in Rome. After living and working in London, she attended the University of California, Hastings College of the Law where she obtained a Juris Doctor.  Ms. Frater began her legal career in 1989 as a deputy district attorney prosecuting serious felonies at the District Attorney’s Offices in San Francisco, Sacramento and Napa Counties.  Ms. Frater joined the Gravett law firm in July of 2004 and became a partner in 2005. She regularly practices in nine counties throughout the state of California. 

Outside the firm, Ms. Frater has served on the boards of a number of local organizations and non-profits including the Napa Chamber of Commerce, The American Canyon Chamber of  Commerce, Child Start Inc., and The Wolfe Center. She is also a member of Napa Rotary and is the chair of the Napa Sierra Club. In her free time she loves canoeing, and writing about wine and her articles have appeared in the Wine Enthusiast, Wines and Vines, Washingtonian, Legal Times and the Napa Valley Marketplace.^♦
