Elisabeth Frater

Elisabeth Frater practices litigation focusing on business and commercial litigation, business crimes defense, white collar crime, wine business law, and permit and administrative violations. Elisabeth Frater's civil litigation work has focused on contracts, fraud, and business torts. The cases involving personal injury and wrongful death involve careless or reckless actions of product manufacturers, property owners, government entities and other dangerous conditions for consumers, workers and the general public. Elisabeth Frater regularly resolves disputes for clients through civil jury trials, arbitrations, mediations and settlement negotiations.

After graduating from Pitzer College, The Claremont Colleges and attending the American University in Rome, Elisabeth Frater attended the University of California, Hastings College of the Law where she obtained a juris doctor. Elisabeth Frater began her legal career in 1989 as a deputy district attorney prosecuting serious felonies at the District Attorney’s Offices in San Francisco, Sacramento and Napa Counties. Elisabeth Frater joined the Gravett law firm in July of 2004 and became a partner in 2005. Elisabeth has successfully tried over 100 cases to a jury, and regularly practices in seven counties throughout the state of California. A graduate of Class XIX Leadership Napa Valley, she contributes to the community by serving on the boards of the Napa Chamber of Commerce, Child Start Inc., and The Wolfe Center. Elisabeth Frater is also a member of Napa Rotary and is the chair of the Napa Sierra Club. ^♦
